$1.08 a Box Cereal!
Looking through the Walgreens ad this morning and saw that Cap'N Crunch cereal is on sale for $1.75 a box. Use the $2.00/3 from 5/1/11 Pepsico insert and they will end up being $1.08 a box!
Don't forget that you can take your Walgreens ad to Wal-Mart and price match if a trip to Walgreens isn't in your plans.

Aldi's
I have several friends who shop at Aldi's. I have been skeptical in the past (forgive me :)) but last week I decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find some good prices on produce. While I will continue to shop at Giant Eagle and Walmart for most of my food using coupons, I will check out the prices on produce at Aldi's!
I looked up their ad online and these things jumped out at me:
Whole pineapple $1.69 each
Cantaloupe .99 each
Hamburger and hot dog buns .79 each
Aldi's does not accept coupons. I did discover on the same shopping trip that Save-A-Lot DOES accept coupons now.

Blogs I Read
I have tried in the past to do coupon matchups on this blog, but I am just not diligent enough to rely on! Truth be told, I am lazy and love that other people do it for me!
For those is Northeast Ohio:
Cherry Picker is the place to go! She highlights Giant Eagle, Acme, Marcs, Heinens, Buehlers, CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens and Drug Mart.
For those that love Wal-Mart:
Paul at I Heart The Mart is awesome!

Grocery Budget ~ Update
I ended up spending about $68 between 4 different stores. In my defense, I was buying for Sunday dinner AND found a great stock up price on peanut butter and cereal.
Still, I really want to stick to this budget. So I will not be going to the store until Friday this week. We will have to live off what we have in the house.
How did you do?

Grocery Budget
Do you have a grocery budget? I have been doing this for awhile. We have a lot more money at the end of the day when I shop on a budget!
My grocery budget has been $60 a week for a family of 4. This week will be more of a challenge as I am hosting Sunday dinner with my family (10 in attendance). I am going to attempt to do this, shopping at 3-4 different stores, matching up coupon sales and using what I have in the house for my weekly menu.
Menu
Sunday - Farmhouse Chicken Chowder, bread, vegetable and Snickerdoodle cake for dessert
Monday - tacos
Tuesday - Chicken and beans (one skillet dinner)
Wednesday - Stouffers Farmers Harvest Lasagna (got a free coupon in the mail) , bread and salad
Thursday - Eggs and waffles
I would love to hear if you have a budget, how you stick to it and what works for you!
